SUBJECT: Campaign "embrace the culture"
Dear, dear, as you know
the Arch is one of the promoters of a national campaign on the promotion and protection of cultural heritage of our country titled "embrace the culture."
Battle for the protection, development and access to cultural heritage are part of a larger dispute the right to restore dignity to the political culture and its heritage in our country.
In recent measures of government and parliament, the Law Stability Milleproroghe the decree, were brutally cut public funds in support of the Culture and Heritage.
So the Archer joined in recent months in many networks and initiatives on these topics:
- we are part of Movem (Emergency Culture Movement), bringing together the many facets of entertainment and film;
- we have promoted initiatives on November 12 at the close of the Museums and launched by Anci Federculture;
- are part of the coalition that is preparing the General Assembly of the Knowledge launched by the CGIL,
- we participated in the initiatives of students and researchers at the University against the DDL Gelmini.
The campaign "We embrace Culture is part of the dispute on the enhancement, protection and access to Italian cultural heritage and is strongly intertwined with the issues around the world of culture that has mobilized in recent months.
The campaign is promoted by many organizations: ACLI Environment - AIB - ANA - ARCI - ARCO.BCI - ARR - AUSER - CGIL - CIA - - IA.CS - INU - LEGAMBIENTE - Workers PIERRECI - UIL BAC - ARI - Assotecnici - Ass for The Economy of Culture - A BC PA CSA. La Sapienza.
The campaign will run as follows: Ø territorial organization of events between January 15 and February 15 involving local representatives of the organizations that responded to the appeal (CGIL and Legambiente, in particular), the cultural, intellectual and testimonials, local (press conferences, principals of cultural property and places of culture, symbolic occupations, etc..)
Ø During the initiatives are:
or collected signatures at the bottom that you attach to the Appeal;
or Complaints banners (two for each city) that the CGIL has prepared and that you should request the Secretaries of local organizations in places symbolic of Culture " abandoned around which to organize initiatives;
or Take pictures (in high definition) of places and professionals in the cultural adversely affecting the worst of the cuts to public funds. Ø In mid-February will be made a national initiative that will use all photos submitted by constructing a large mosaic of places and professions in the world of culture;
Ø The end of the campaign (as of yet to be determined) will be a national demonstration in Rome, where participants "embrace "The Coliseum;
